Clothes Lines – The “Secret” Lives of Women as Told thru Fashion
Women Short Stories & Poems
“This anthology of work is about clothes and how we women get tangled up in them…” ~ Kathryn Stripling Byer
While Clothes Lines (a collection of women short stories, essays & poetry) is in part about fashion, clothing and style, it is primary a personal narrative from 75 women writers from WNC concerning their secret desires, memories and emotions about clothes and the impact that clothing has had on their lives.
The wonderful stories and poetry contained in this anthology cover everything from Birkenstock to bras, from hot red shoes to polyester pink pants suits, from prom dresses to funeral gowns.
Celia H. Miles and Nancy Dillingham, co-editors and contributors wrote, “Women as different as their garments reflect on their fascination with and feeling for the clothes they wear, remember, resist, and revere (or not).”
Recently Celia and Nancy dropped by Mountain Made with a dozen or so copies of Clothes Line for their book signing.
We invite you to come by the gallery and browse both Nancy and Celia’s latest books as well as grab a copy of Clothes Lines.
Of course, if you “tangled” up right now and can’t get by, you are welcome to order books from the online store.
