Asheville Woodworking – Barewood Naturals
“Each plank…can have only one ideal use. The woodworker must find this ideal use and create an object of utility to man, and if nature smiles, an object of lasting beauty.” George Nakashima, woodworker and author
We here at Mountain Made like to think that Asheville woodworking artisans Laura and Kim DeWeese have found the best use for each of the “bare wood planks” that they find when they turn them into these wonderful platters and cutting boards.
Each platter and cutting board is handcrafted with a butcher block finish, safe for all foods. They can be used in a variety of ways and are a unique and functional addition to your serving or decorating needs.
Laura and Kim will be presenting a live art demo on Saturday, June 7th from 11AM – 4PM.
We invite you to come by Mountain Made, one of Asheville’s downtown art galleries and watch them create handcrafted platters and cutting boards from “bare wood” planks.
