“The Earth laughs in flowers.”

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Come celebrate the coming warm weather with the Downtown May art walk here at the Mountain Made art gallery! The art walk going to held this Friday, May 3th from 5 – 8PM.  Light refreshments will be served as well we will have live music by popular vocalist Gardner Hathaway.

This month our art walk theme is FLOWERS and all things new and growing – we will be decorating the gallery in a mini festival of flowers with Japanese Ikebana arrangements!

May is also the month where all we finally poke our heads out of the house and go exploring! The sunshine and the warm weather make us want to go walking just to see what new and beautiful things are around the corner.

Especially things we might have never seen before…

This is why you should come by the gallery this Friday, if you can. Our returning artists have brought in loads of new art pieces – everything from handmade pottery, to wood artwork, to handcrafted jewelry, decorative quilts and hand blown glassware.

Not to mention we have several new artists who have entrusted us with their latest works: everything from abstract wire sculpture bonsai trees (true eye-catching center pieces), to touchable hand-carved wooden hair clips (you have to see them to believe just how good they look!) and much more.

Psst!  We will be publishing a special wood lover’s issue in our upcoming “Inside WNC Arts” newsletter showcasing the wonderful of our talented woodworking artisans.

If you are going to be in downtown Asheville on Friday night, we invite you you’re your calendar and come by to see our little festival of flowers as well as all the wonderful new artwork that has come in since the start of spring!
