Congratulations to Asheville Painter Constance Vlahoulis

Just a short note to give two thumbs up for Asheville painter Constance Vlahoulis!

Constance was the cover artist in February for the long running arts and culture magazine “The Laurel of Asheville”.

From the story in the Laurel of Asheville

“Sometimes what may seem to be the smallest of moments can end up producing profound outcomes. Such could be said about what happened to Connie Vlahoulis in the fifth grade.

“The teacher asked all the students to draw the Monarch butterfly,” says Connie. “I finished my colored pencil drawing easily, and then all the other kids around me asked if I would help them draw their butterfly.” The teacher embraced the moment and agreed.

“I will always be so grateful to Mrs. Beadle for allowing me to quietly flit from desk to desk to draw the butterfly,” says Connie. “I floated home that day so happy to know there was something I had—a talent. I remember it like it was yesterday.”
