“Caning” is the art and craft of using interlacing thin strips of various materials to create weaved patterns in the seats of furniture seats and chairs. Caning can use a variety of different materials and methods. The patterns can range from the very simple ones to others that are very labor intensive using precise hand woven techniques.

Brandy Clements learned the art of chair caning from her grandmother, who in turn learned it this age old art from her family. In fact chair caning and repairing has been a part of Ms. Clements’s family for a 120 years.  Please contact Brandy at 321-806-8572 or by email at gochairrepair@gmail.com if you are interested in custom ordering a chair.
